DJ Hero
dj hero - xbox 360
With the introduction of Guitar Hero back in 2005 it was only a matter of time before other spin off games of a similar nature appeared. Shortly after the Guitar Hero genre was moved further further forward with the introduction of a drum kit and microphone to create rock band but things didn’t stop there.

It took a while and the result may not be to everyones taste but Activision took a gamble and created DJ Hero the first DJ based games console game complete with a turntable style controller.

DJ Hero Features

  • The ability to battle your friends or jam together at home or online with two turntables or one turntable and a Guitar Hero guitar controller
  • Game bundle including software for Xbox 360 and the exclusive DJ Hero turntable/mixer controller that allows players to scratch and mix their way to hero status
  • Variety of unique musical content featuring in the form of 80+ DJ mixes pulled from multiple genres including Hip Hop and Dance music fused with Rock, Pop and R&B
  • Variety of multiplayer co-op and competitive modes including DJ vs. DJ, DJ + DJ and DJ + Guitar
  • Engaging and easy to pick-up rhythm based gameplay in the Guitar Hero tradition

DJ Hero Opinion
Its still early days but the general opinion of DJ Hero seems promising. With various fans posting videos on sites such as Youtube and the game generating a lot of positive hype around the various internet forums, it is likely to be the top of many xbox 360 fans Christmas list if they are yet to have had chance to buy it.

One comment on a popular sites review section reads: Overall the whole package is excellent, the peripheral certainly justifies the price, the music is superb and all the elements come together to make an essential alternative to the Rock Band/Guitar Hero offerings.
