Modern Warfare 2 Breaks All Previous Targets
Written by 360 offers on November 12, 2009 – 8:05 pm -As expected Modern Warfare 2 has broken the launch day record previously held by Grand Theft Auto IV by selling 1.23m copies in the UK in one day!
That is a staggering figure in its own right and even more astonishing given the previous record of 631,000 held by GTA IV being half as much (source: Eurogamer.net).
I’m sure even without the fierce retailer competition to offer the lowest prices it would have still made close to that figure and it will be interesting to see how many copies it sells during the first week and then how long it can hold the number 1 spot in the top 10 charts for.
