Sainsbury’s who were previous leaders with the price of the 60gb premium xbox 360 priced at £149.99 (which is currently out of stock) have pulled out all the stops and dropped the price of the Xbox 360 Elite to an amazing £159.99.

There is a £3.95 delivery charge to be factored into the cost of the console but nether the less it is still a great deal for a standalone Elite and the lowest price we have seen to date.

There are some great deals on both standalone xbox 360’s and bundles flying around at the moment. It is certainly a good time to be buying an xbox 360, especially given some of the developments coming through this year with Project Natal and the games line up of 2010 to look forward to.
